The Midyear check in…are you living intentionally?
Happy Summer. It’s hard to believe we’re already in June, the halfway mark of 2025.
This is the perfect time to pause and ask yourself:
Am I living in alignment with the intention or word I chose for the year?
Life moves quickly. It's easy to fall back into old habits, patterns, and mindsets. We get swept up in responsibilities and distractions and before we know it, we’ve lost touch with what it means to live intentionally. Whether you prefer journaling or quiet reflection, I invite you to use these prompts as a 2025 midyear check-in. They're here to help you reconnect with how you want to feel in your actions, your energy, and most importantly, in your relationship with yourself.
Midyear Reflection Prompts:
Are you living in a way that reflects how you said you wanted to feel?
Have you made space for the word or intention you chose back in January?
What are you still holding onto that you no longer need?
How do you want to feel for the rest of this year?
My Personal Check-In: Joy and Ease
The intention I set for this year was simple: more joy and more ease. And honestly? I’ve done a pretty good job coming back to those words, especially when things feel chaotic or overwhelming. But I’m human. I still catch myself gripping too tightly to outcomes, to expectations, to old patterns that I thought I had already let go of. When uncertainty creeps in, I’ve noticed how quickly my mind wants to take over. It spins stories, creates pressure, tries to force clarity. But what I’ve learned (and am still learning) is that clarity doesn’t come from the mind alone. It comes from the body.
The Mantra That Keeps Me Grounded:
Let your body, not your mind, lead the way.
This summer, I invite you to try that too. Let your body guide you back to simplicity, to sensation, to what brings you peace. Let your nervous system have a say. Let ease feel like enough.
Here are a few small ways I’ve been practicing this:
Skipping the to-do list and sitting in the grass at a free summer concert.
Walking outside or riding my bike, just to move your body, but not to record your work-out.
Teaching yoga at the beach, barefoot by the water (Join me on June 25 & August 27 at Lake Minear!)
Sitting outside with a trashy summer novel and letting my body fully rest.
A Summer Reset Invitation
My hope is that you’ll find your own way back this summer…back to the word you chose.
Back to what makes you feel most like you. to ease. And to so much joy.
And if you’re looking for support or space to reconnect, I’ve created events and offerings all summer long to help you get inspired, spark creativity, and reconnect with your body.
